spring, at the Neighbor-to-Neighbor
Dinner, Goddard Riverside acknowledges the commitment
and talent of New Yorkers who have been volunteers
here or made significant contributions to the community
at large.
The Good Neighbor Awards go to exemplary individuals and organizations,
from youth mentors to homeless shelters. A committee of active community
residents solicits nominations and selects the recipients. Awardees
are formally presented with a plaque at the dinner.
An annual tradition since 2001, the Neighbor-to-Neighbor
Dinner is a highlight of our calendar. An appreciative,
exuberant New York crowd packs the dining room of
our Senior Center
to celebrate the good work being done and to savor
the Caribbean feast prepared by the building superintendent,
Jose Robles, known around the agency for his cooking
skills.
A gift to Goddard Riverside helps to recognize and
honor our good neighbors. Donate
