arts are an important part of all of our programs
– from our Head
Start Center to our housing for older adults.
We offer opportunities for art and music instruction,
exhibitions, trips to museums and performances and
an annual series of free Community Concerts featuring
well-known artists.
Programs regularly showcase art produced by participants. For example,
monthly art exhibits, with accompanying meet-the-artist receptions,
introduce the work of members of the Senior Center art class. An
annual agency-wide art show each spring celebrates the creative
vision and talents of participants and displays the scope of Goddard
Riverside.
An intensive Saturday program for teens, Art Works!, offers painting,
sculpture and photography instruction by professional
artists. Art Works! is made possible by the Joan
Mitchell Foundation.
