Wohl served as Executive Director of Goddard Riverside from
1972 until his retirement in 1998. His vision for youngsters
rested on strong early childhood and school-age programs. The
Campaign for Kids is a commitment from Goddard Riverside’s
Board of Directors and staff to ensure vibrant programming for
the benefit of children, youth and families in the years to
come.
The Campaign for Kids seeks to raise $1.5 million, including
$1 million for The Bernie Wohl Endowment
Fund at Goddard Riverside and $500,000 for capital
improvements at 647 Columbus Avenue, the hub of Goddard
Riverside’s school-age programming.
In conjunction with The Campaign for Kids, our facility at
647 Columbus Avenue has been named the Bernie Wohl Center.
