Riverside’s Youth Program emphasizes leadership, community service,
academic excellence, physical fitness and cultural diversity.
The Youth Program annually
serves nearly 2,000 children and youth, from first-graders
to high school seniors, through the following program
components:
- Children’s
After School Program for elementary school age youth;
- Beacon
Program for middle and high school youth and adults with
after-school, evening and weekend programming;
- Summer
Day Camp for youth ages 6-13 years;
- Spring
Softball League for boys and girls ages
8-13 years;
- ArtWorks!,
free Saturday classes on painting, sculpture, and photography
for middle and high school youth sponsored by the Joan Mitchell
Foundation;
- Parent
and Family Meetings and workshops; and
- Community
Swimming Program on Friday evenings.
