New York, NY (April 6, 2017)—Goddard Riverside Community Center will celebrate the enormous contributions to the community of outgoing Board President Betsy Newell by launching the Betsy Newell Older Adult Fund on May 10.
Betsy Newell is the director of the highly respected Park Children's Day School. She has served on Goddard Riverside's board since the 1970s, devoting thousands of hours to our programs to combat poverty and help people achieve their fullest potential. She has also been involved in volunteer work at the Youth Counseling League, the Junior League, and the alumnae committees of the Brearley School, Smith College and Oxford University's Bodleian Library.
The fund will support Goddard Riverside's programs for older adults, including Home Delivered Meals, our Senior Center, our Naturally Occurring Retirement Community and senior housing.
