no place like home. Safe, comfortable housing is the
cornerstone of life. Goddard Riverside operates five
buildings that provide affordable housing and on-site
services for more than 600 New Yorkers.
We believe that everyone has a right to an affordable place to
live — a belief which is fundamental to our history and work
with older adults and homeless people. But providing housing in
New York City is complicated and requires commitment for the long
haul. Over the past 30 years, Goddard Riverside has developed the
skills, knowledge and experience to become one of the leading providers
of supportive housing in the City and we’re still growing.
Supportive housing residences provide permanent rental
units for people with disabilities, older adults,
and others with limited incomes. On-site services
run the gamut. Tenants benefit from assistance with
entitlements, help in a crisis, substance abuse groups,
job training, social activities and more — all
geared toward making sure they stay healthy, stable,
independent, and connected to a caring community.
