Riverside’s programs for older adults offer a vital lifeline
and a chance to have fun and be part of a caring family.
Older adults come daily to enjoy breakfast and lunch with friends,
stay fit, learn new skills, and express their creativity. And when
there is a crisis and they need special assistance, our elderly
neighbors know they can call or come in for help. Essential services
like health care, money management, and housing – all the
things they need to continue to live independently in the community
for as long as possible – are available.
Every year over 3,000 older adults participate in our Senior Center
and NORC (naturally occurring retirement community) programs, and
our Phelps House residence offers a range of support and activities
for 180 elderly tenants.
